cannot palm

I have not been able to get the gel to come out of the end tip, like it should. Instead it leaks out the bottom of the black applicator top, where it meets the bottle. Can someone help?

Packaging needs adjustment-

Recently purchased this product and noticed it resembles a toy baby bottle for dolls. It was difficult to open but may be seen as a toy to children as it is shaped like a baby body or crayon shape.
